Any Scholarship for Student Exchange Beside JASSO?

Hi guys,

I'm an undergraduate Civil Engineering student from Indonesia. I've been fortunate enough to be accepted for a one-semester exchange program at Ehime University in Matsuyama, from September 2025 to February 2026.

My main challenge now is securing funding, particularly for non-tuition costs like airfare, visa, and living expenses.

I'm aware of the main JASSO Student Exchange Support Program, but my university has informed us that the allocation for this year is still uncertain, and we've been advised to prepare to be self-funded. I've also researched other major scholarships (MEXT, Mitsui-Bussan, INPEX, etc.), but they all seem to be for full-degree programs, not for a single-semester exchange for a student already enrolled at their home university.

My question for the community is: Does anyone know of any lesser-known private foundations, corporate scholarships, or even local government/prefectural grants (specifically for the Ehime/Shikoku region) that might support undergraduate exchange students for a single semester?

I'm also open to any advice on how to effectively search for this specific type of short-term funding. Maybe there are specific Japanese keywords or databases I'm missing in my search.

Any pointers or advice would be incredibly helpful. Thank you for your time!
