I really hate feeling like this because I love both the War Dogs and the House, but to me it feels like the Dogs are lesser when they’re forced to play the ‘outnumbered babyfaces in peril’ to the HoT of late. It makes me think back to that period of time when Tana was leading that near-endless Hontai feud with HoT, and that wasn’t exactly the best time to watch…
The fun of this feud has been the Dogs matching them in aggression head-on, but recency feels like we’re starting to tread into that Stale House Territory again. Like, Gedo v EVIL ends in a House beatdown, and they can only find two guys to make the save? Was Finlay hurt or something that he could only come into town the week of? I know Gabe was off palling around with Jon Moxley, but come on… What are we doing? Do we need to make Yujiro look like a world-beater by giving him numbers advantage beatdowns? Now [you know who] too?
I don’t really know where things could go that would bring the magic back. If I’m reading this too negatively, please sell me on why. I don’t wanna be frustrated with how this is going, I really don’t. But this has been bugging me for a while now and I just wanted to vent a little, apologies…
