Students these days lack ambition

I've been teaching at International Schools for 20 years and in Japan for the last 7. Each year, students get more and more distracted, apathetic etc. It's depressing to see. It's been particularly bad since the post-COVID era with TikTok, ChatGPT etc. I'm pessimistic about the future judging by the students
