Hello everyone, I'm a design major from Korea, and I'm interested in 3DCG. Although I've had a little exposure to it, I haven't studied it professionally yet.
Recently, I found a Japanese school that offers a 1-year 3DCG course, which I was really interested in. However, they don’t issue student visas, so I would need to study and job-hunt within one year — possibly on a working holiday visa.
As an alternative, the school also offers a 6-month online course with job support in Japan. I'm considering this option, but I'm not sure if studying online would be as effective as actually going to Japan and learning there in person.
A friend of mine who went to Japan on a working holiday told me that the experience itself is really valuable and said I should go. But I feel like the 3DCG industry might be a bit different in that regard. Just to add, I'm not worried about the language barrier — I have no problem with Japanese.
Has anyone had experience with online 3DCG courses from Japan, or gone to Japan for this kind of study/work path? Any advice or insight would be really appreciated!
P.S. Translated with the help of ChatGPT, what do you think? Is it mechanical? LOL
