Wow, I was born in Okinawa and I have pictures taken from these exact places! Surreal
It’s such a raw way of living life there. There’s a reason people live to 100 over there.
They closed off that area a bit (just a simple protective fence) and have asked folks not to stand in front of the waterfall or swim in that area. It’s a nice little trek through the forest!
I went back for two summers in a row about nine years after I first PCS’d from there. I think it was worth it.
