Hello, I'm planning to attend language school starting next April, I'm planning on the long term option, possibly the full 2 years allowed depending on how it goes. For the time being I'm doing my research in some schools, but I have prioritized checking out ones in Tokyo. My main reason being I want to pursue getting a job after the school, being in the capital I'm aware it has greater opportunities. I do have an University degree and over 5 years of work experience in the IT field as a Software Developer.
With that said, is it too farfetched to consider schools outside of Tokyo with this interest in mind? I'm assuming that a lot of Work Expos and big companies are likely held in Tokyo, having that be the same place I'd be residing would be helpful. Hence why I'm initially hesitant about going to another city. But I'd like some thoughts on the topic, if someone has similar experiences to the one I'm proposing (IT jobs in or outside Tokyo) I'd love to hear your experiences.
