My wife ( Japanese ) and I ( American) are now thinking of retiring to Japan in the next couple of years. We are scoping things out.
I have severe arthritis. I discovered I can get my arthritis infusions in Japan – and they are much cheaper. But according to Google, it appears you have to be dying of cancer before you can get pain medication.
The buprenorphine patch I'm on doesn't even require paperwork when I enter the country. So it's not considered narcotic.
Anyone have any experience with pain medication in Japan? Do pain clinics even exist?
