Can someone get a 5 year visa on engineer/humanities visa and then quit their job quickly in 1-2 months. Then they notify immigration they left job which starts 90 day timer, where after that immigration could potentially start deportation process if they wished (looks pretty rare).
The engineer/humanities visa was merged in 2015 which means you could do part time english teaching work for like 5 hours a week which would count as visa activities even if you came in to a software engineer job. Also you could apply for software engineer jobs at the most prestigious places with low chance of getting accepted like Indeed, Amazon, etc which would count as visa activities.
With this you can chill in Japan for 5 years and if immigration starts any process you can hire a Japanese lawyer to defend you since you are fulfilling visa activities and its all legal. This also has the benefit of leaving before a lot of tax issues start like on worldwide income.
