Hi guys! Posting this on behalf of my aunt who doesn’t have Reddit. Not sure if this is the right subreddit for it but I've been looking around all of them. She's moving to Japan for work soon and she has a daughter named Valerie who we call Riri. We were wondering if that name was going to translate well over there since I googled it and there’s not really a “v” or “l” sound in Japanese. But since they mostly use Riri with her maybe that won’t matter?
Just want to get people’s insight on this, would Riri sound okay? Thank you in advance!
