How to deal with medications before moving to Japan?

I'm getting married to my Japanese fiance soon. We were planning on living in the US, but she's feeling very homesick and wants to be near family. I've lived in Japan before and work remotely so living there isn't a problem for me in itself.

The problem is my medication. I have some intenal deformations that make me legally disabled but luckily I have a good job from home. From what I can find online, my medication doesn't seem to be available there. I've asked my doctors in the US but they're not of any help.

Is there some way I can get some medical advice before entering the country? I've even talked to a lawyer who said I probably won't know until I get on insurance there and look around. I just can't afford to be unmedicated indefinitely until something works out, though.

Has anyone experienced something like this and developed a plan beforehand? Thanks on advance
