Just as the title says, happened yesterday in Yomitan village. Just checked in, lounging in the living room, front of the house was mostly glass. Heard the boom, felt the room vibrate and saw the current running through the electric wire then it hit the house's foundation. A piece of cement came off from the foundation. We're all still in disbelief and now afraid of lightning.

I live in Yomitan too and I wasn’t home but my girlfriend was and she said it was so loud she thought it was in the backyard
I bet she got scared too. Okinawa weather is no joke.
