I can’t stop thinking about the elephant at the zoo I visited in Tokyo. Such a shadow of what a majestic and free creature it should have been. It just stood there, staring straight ahead with its large sunken eyes, as if in an eternal torture all alone behind bars in this damn zoo. It’s eyes still haunt me. I hope it gets its freedom, poor thing. Humans can be so cruel without even meaning to be.
