I am interested in learning about starting a business in Tokyo/Japan. Haven’t decided on specifics but would be mostly product based. I am not fluent in Japanese and hence I think I have a larger barrier- prior to even start navigating rules regulations etc. Still it would be great if I can get some resources or events/contacts I can get in touch with

JETRO is probably your best resource, depending specifically on what you want to do or sell. I would be very cautious about any business “opportunities or contacts” on Reddit—and do your due diligence.
