Kitasenju Station Stopped Train

Hi everyone, lurker here.

Last night (technically this morning, around 12:05 AM), I was supposed to get on a train from Kitasenju station to Kosuge station via the Tobu Skytree Line on Platform 5. However, the train on that platform was stopped and its lights were off, preventing access to the train. Thus, the line to get a taxi was very long.

Does anybody know what happened at the Kitasenju station Platform 5? I tried looking online and wasn’t able to find anything.

  1. Did you check your timetable?

    They probably don’t run that late. Train off and just parked is a good sign operations have ended for the night.

  2. I don’t see any news or announcements about any issues or schedule changes.

    Is it possible you missed the train and the train you saw had finished its service and was going to the depot? The train is at 24:04 so if you were there at 24:05 it was likely a different train.

    There’s still 3 more trains scheduled until 24:34, are you sure they were canceled? PS You can use google translate or similar translation apps to translate speaker announcements.
