A South Korean woman in her 20s, who was traveling in Tokyo's Bunkyo Ward, was taken to the hospital on June 28 due to heatstroke. She asked her mother to send approximately 160,000 yen for her medical expenses. After settling her bills and being discharged, she lost contact.

The woman, identified as Ms. Choi, is from Jeongeup City in southwestern South Korea. Before her disappearance, she worked as a nurse at a hospital near Seoul and lived in a dormitory. Due to Ms. Choi's disappearance, the South Korean Embassy has created flyers and is appealing for information. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, Ms. Choi was seen leaving the hospital alone, and there is currently no indication of foul play. Ms. Choi is described as 163cm tall, weighing 65kg, with short black hair, and may have been wearing white sneakers.
