Inkan for foreigner for House Purchase: Should it be in English or Katakana?

Hi everyone,

I’m a foreign resident/PR Holder in Japan and planning to register my inkan (jitsuin) for a home purchase.

On my residence card, my name is in English, but on my bank account and insurance card, it's in Katakana.

I want to ask:

• Can I register my seal in Katakana?
• Or does it have to match the alphabet (English) version from my residence card?
• Has anyone done this before and faced any issues?

I plan to go to the ward office soon, but I want to hear real experiences.
