So the dreaded day has arrived – I have some stomach/esophageal issues and need to get scoped. This will be the nasal option without sedation at a major hospital. I have read a lot of horror stories (and some quite the opposite) on here about the procedure, but it seems like most of the bad reviews were down the throat rather through the nose.
Is it that bad? The doctor told me 90% of patients doing the nasal option do not use sedatives and are fine.
I really wish we were living in Star Trek times and Dr. Crusher could just wave the little beeping metal capsule thing and fix it all up.
