A mother reports her son missing, saying, “My son left but his car is gone.” A 14-year-old junior high school boy was arrested for driving without a license, causing an accident and fleeing the scene, injuring two girls.


In Ōgaki City, Gifu Prefecture, on July 17th, a male junior high school student was arrested for driving without a license and causing an accident that injured two passengers. The 14-year-old allegedly crashed a small car into a guardrail around 6:30 PM, injuring two girls, including a female junior high student, and fled the scene. He admitted to the charges.

The boy’s mother reported her car missing after noticing her son had left, prompting a police investigation. Three other junior high school students were in the car but weren’t injured.
