Hi everyone!
I’ve recently launched a new community here on Reddit called r/OpenMicDojo — a casual but respectful space for – and by – the people in Tokyo who want to:
- Get more confident with speaking in English!
- Practice startup pitches or creative storytelling.
- Connect with others in a friendly, no-pressure setting.
- Completely and always free!
Whether you're nervous speaking in front of others, practicing English, or just want to get better at expressing yourself — you're welcome here. You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to show up. Think of it similar to Toastmasters but free for ever!
We keep it simple, supportive, and judgment-free. Cameras on = encouraged, but never forced.

Lurking is okay. Listening is okay. Just being part of it already counts. よろしくお願いします !
Ps. – Huge thanks to the r/Tokyo mods for allowing me to share this!
