Hey everyone, I've got 2 axolotyls that are big enough to switch to earthworms from pellets, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. I'm location in Okayama. Amigo only seems to have meal worms for lizards. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Higo Pet in Koshien has frozen bloodworms for axolotols.
According to the internet – Here are the most common places to buy live earthworms:
1. Fishing Tackle Shops (釣具店, *Tsuriguten*)
What to Look For: Ask for “Iki Esa” (活き餌 – live bait) or specifically “Mimizu” (ミミズ). They often come in small plastic containers or bags filled with soil.
Common Brands/Types: You’ll find branded packs like “Mimizu King” (ミミズキング) or “Kumataro Mimizu” (熊太郎ミミズ). The most common types are *Doba Mimizu* (ドバミミズ), which are larger, and *Shima Mimizu* (シマミミズ), which are smaller and often used for composting but are also great for smaller pets.
Major Chains:
* Joshuya (上州屋): One of the largest fishing tackle chains with stores all over Japan. They consistently stock several varieties of live worms.
* Tackle Berry (タックルベリー): Another very large chain, including many used-tackle shops, that carries live bait.
* Point (釣具のポイント): A major chain, particularly strong in western Japan.
2. Online Pet & Reptile Shops
What to Search For: Use terms like 「ペット用 ミミズ」(pet-use earthworms), 「活き餌 ミミズ」(live bait earthworms), or 「生きミミズ 通販」(live earthworms mail order).
Recommended Online Stores:
* Charm (チャーム): One of Japan’s largest online retailers for pet and aquarium supplies. They have a dedicated section for live food and regularly stock live earthworms in various quantities. They are known for their reliable, refrigerated delivery.
* Pure Animal (ピュアアニマル): A specialty online shop focused on exotic pets and live food. They are a great source for high-quality feeder insects and worms.
3. Large Home Centers (ホームセンター).
Where to Look: Check the pet supplies area (especially for reptiles and amphibians) and the gardening or composting section.
What to Expect: You are most likely to find *Shima Mimizu* (シマミミズ – Red Wigglers) sold for composting. These are perfectly fine for most pets. Live fishing bait may also be sold in stores with a dedicated fishing section.
Major Chains to Check:
* Cainz (カインズ): Many larger Cainz stores have extensive “Pet’s One” pet centers and gardening areas.
* Kohnan (コーナン): Particularly stores labeled “Kohnan Pro” often have a wider range of materials, including items for gardening and sometimes live bait.
* Komeri (コメリ): Common in more rural areas, their larger “Power” stores may stock them.
Fishing store and/or start composting.
