Ideally, I am seeking someone who:
a) Can purchase and receive this item for me in Japan
b) Is traveling to the USA
c) Is willing to carry this item with them
Based on my research,
- TSA allows travelers to bring airsoft guns, provided they are transported in checked baggage and declared as firearms at the airline’s ticket counter.
- The airsoft gun must also be unloaded and stored in a locked, hard-sided container – This is not a problem since the packaging already meets these criteria, as shown in the picture above.
- TSA recommends packing it as if it were a real firearm to avoid potential issues. – I’ve also seen that placing an orange barrel on the muzzle can help with compliance.
