We've been looking for places to move in since the leopalace we are currently in is very small. We went first with an instagram real estate agent and saw a house they had on their page, we really loved it but he told us the house was unavailable because someone applied first right after he submitted our application. We then saw a second house we liked it so we applied too in fear of losing the house again and that one was accepted within the day. So far we havent signed any contract, we havent even stepped a foot in any office, no papers, no aggrement, no payment, we dont even have a contract sign date yet.
Days later i find the original house we wanted still being listed online on other site so we go to the real estate office to ask, we give our information and asking to push for the first house. Somehow we receive a call recently telling us our application has been acepter and we already have a contract sign date and a call appointment to speak about the house services I think.
In the end we sent a message to the original real estate agent (which all this time we have contacted thru instagram chat only and in person when we went to see the house) that we were sorry but we wanted to cancel on the house that was accepted and explained we got accepted to the first house.
He told us that it was fine but we had to pay a cancellation fee, he still hasnt answered on how much it has to be. We read online and some sites say that we shouldnt have to pay anything if we havent signed anything? is this true? we wanna know if they are trying to scam us since we are foreigners or if he is right and we have to pay.
