God I’m so sick of hearing about this bloody Pokemon thing. It’s all over my feed.
Feels like this could have been avoided if you didn’t sell 300 happy meals to 2 people.
The Japanese pissed off about wasted food is a special kind of pissed off
God that’s so embarrassing. People really have no shame
Witnessed this first hand. At first I thought it was due to the beginning of the Obon holiday period, that everyone was making so many to-go takeout orders. The drive-thru line was blocked from two directions. The counters were lined with takeout orders. I assumed people had placed their orders and then got stuck in traffic. The order lobby was filled with people. This was so unusual for a Saturday morning. It was only later that I made the connection to people wanting the Pockemon item. What a waste!
Does anyone know if this Pokemon happy meal is exclusive to Japan? Or if it’ll come to other parts of the world eventually?
They should have made a rule that a person can max to max can buy only 2 happy meals and not like 200 at a same time.
Didn’t they learned their lesson during their Chiikawa Happy set? They should’ve implemented purchase limits.
They just need to sell the cards for ¥200 with each happy meal. That should end the issue.
See, it’s misinformation like this is why it gets worse. The promotion didn’t end, bigger cities ran out of stock.
My local Aeon had enough until Monday, funny that happens when the manager has a backbone.
1 per customer and no online orders would have been a good start.
Hamburglar chasing you down and making you eat every goddamn bun while Ronald plays speedball with your nutsack would catch anyone slipping through the first safety net.
Pokemans, gotta scalp them all
This adult fandom rabidness is really bothering me. When I went to my local McD’s, it was mostly adults in line. Now granted, a number could have been bringing food home but I saw less than 4 kids in the dozens waiting.
And the looks a lot of adults had, they looked more like they wanted those cards than to feed their families.
“I am shocked… SHOCKED! Well not that shocked.”
“If only there were a similar campaign we did three months ago that we could have learned from!”
Apparently people were able to buy more than 5 per person if they asked. There was a tweet from an employee saying that they could say no to people ordering more than 5(rules from higher ups) making McDonald’s image much worse. I’ll try to find the video
*shocked Pikachu*
Good…
The people don’t deserve it
Sad and wasteful, pretty obvious that this sort of thing would happen
So much for everyone bent on the environment etc
Can you pay for the meals, but tell the staff not to pack the food?
