Hi, I'm thinking of studying at Osaka University (阪大) next year via the iExPO program (at School of Human Sciences / 人間科学部), but I haven’t been able to find many first-hand accounts of a full exchange year in iExPO.
I've read all the info (I could find) on all the exchange programs, and iExPo seems to be the most interesting but also the most challenging one (never been to Japan before, I can speak and read the language, but never wrote any "academically-accepted" homework / report / paper in Japanese)
if you did iExPO at Osaka (esp. School of Human Sciences or Foreign Languages), or any other programs, could you share:
-
how was the workload / Japanese level in classes ?
-
Was it generally manageable / which courses were manageable for an intermediate Japanese speaker ? (have JLPT N2, but going on JLPT N1)
-
anything you’d do differently / tips ?
Thank you !
