Police find body under the floor in an apartment room in Chigasaki

In Chigasaki City, Kanagawa, a dead body was discovered in an apartment building, leading to the arrest of two people. The police had searched the apartment several times. Ryo Ogura (44) and Yui Okayasu (38) are suspected of burying an unidentified body under the floor of Ogura’s room in May 2024. The body is believed to be a man who lived with them and then went missing. The investigation started around August 2024 after a missing person report was filed. One of the suspects recently confessed to burying the body, helping the police find it. Authorities are also investigating their motives.
