I signed a lease for a standalone house in Tokyo a year ago. The contract is until next spring.
I was under the impression that I could not renew the lease.
But the managment company emailed me asking me if I wanted to move out or stay and extend the lease another 2 years.
I don’t really want to move if I don’t have to, so I emailed them saying I want to stay if possible, but I thought I couldn’t.
They told me they’ll get back to me. It’s been 2 months with no response. I called them and they said they have no new information for me, but they understand I want to extend.
Should I be looking to move out or what?
