Hi everyone – we'll be travelling in central Japan in mid-november (between november 12 to 22). We have a choice of day trips between going to Kamikochi (right smack on November 15, the last day before it closes) or Kurobe Gorge. Do you have any recommendations on which to choose between the two? I understand that (i) this is right at the tail end of the season for Kamikochi where trees might be bare and the temperatures freezing, I've heard from some that it is worth going nonetheless regardless of season, and (ii) Kurobe Gorge is partially closed for now and the railway only operates to Nekomata station. Any advice welcomed – thank you!
