I'm traveling to Japan for work in October. I will be landing in Tokyo early on Wednesday, then will need to travel up to Akita where I'm going to be based for 2.5 days before traveling back down to Tokyo where I will be for the following week.
I was going to get the Shinkansen up to Akita, but don't want to pre-book a particular train, as i will be landing at Haneda early Weds and just incase of delays etc.
Main questions
Will I just need to do a seat reservation when i know what train I'll be gettting?
Is there additional cost for the seat reservation?
Will I be able to reserve a green seat on the shinkansen with the JR Pass? Will it just be a case of paying an extra amount for the green seat? If so does anyone know this cost?
