I’ve been in Osaka for the past 9 months, I’ve experienced what life was like back in the USA as a rural teenager and it got me thinking as I’ve traveled through Nara and Mei prefectures, what is your life like?
Do you feel the same pressures that students in Osaka and Tokyo face?
Is school as demanding?
What is your day to day life like?
Are you happy living in smaller communities or do you feel stuck?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years, like do you plan on going to university or working in your community?
How do you handle difference between students, for instance does it feel harder to be yourself in rural communities or do you feel less burden to “fit in?”
What do you do for fun, do you tend to travel further to meet up with friends at larger places like Aeon malls etc?
Thanks for answering, I’m absolutely loving life in Japan. I’ve never been happier and feel that while communication is still difficult I’m sure this has been the best choice.
