Textile Workshops, Indigo Dye, Weaving… any recommendations?

Hi Everyone,

I'm travelling to Japan for 3 weeks at the beginning of September.

I'm really interested in artisanal textile craft – like indigo dye, jeans, weaving, printing or embroidery and would love to visit 1-3 workshops in Japan. Since I am travelling with my husband and toddler I prefer workshops that aren't days long but either 1-2 days full or couple of half days.

We're arriving in Tokyo and departing in tokyo, however – I am currently lookinginto changing our arrival airport to Osaka in order to cut some travel time and expenses for the shinkansen.

Does anyone have recommendations along/close-ish to the areas of Kyoto , Osaka, Kanazawa and Tokyo (surrounding places are also ok – our tour isn't planned yet).

I'm sooo excited for Japan, it's our first time!
