Have you ever quit your job with no next step?

I'm considering quitting my job so I'm on the hunt for something new.

Was talking to someone about it and they said I should just quit and hunt for a job after.

That idea kinda scares me and I don't think it's an option but I want to hear experiences from anyone who has ever done that.

Why did you decide to quit without a new job lined up?

Did it take you long to find a new job?

I'm guessing you would have burnt a lot of your savings?
