Hi I’m writing story that has supernatural elements and I want to know how intimate Buddha Japanese families are with religion/ supernatural. I am from a Roman Catholic background and my family values and has a very close connection with their religion. I don’t believe or consider myself apart of a religion for context, tho i do believe I have a spiritual energy, i don’t believe in a god, just people existing and people’s energy giving back to the earth.i love culture and wish to learn everything about everything but that would take a life time. To go back to my question, from what i hear apparently the majority of japan doesn’t consider themselves religious but religion is heavily integrated into their culture. What does a life look like for someone who believes in Buddha and how do they feel about non Buddhist Japanese? I would love to know what people think.
