My wife and I plan to do a few days in the Nagoya area during our Japan trip at the end of September… would appreciate some thoughts on our plans so far, and recommendations for anything that should be swapped out.
Day 1:
– Tokyo to Nagoya via JR
– Collect rental car
– Drive to Toyota and visit Toyota Kaikan Museum Toyota Automobile Museum (thx u/Mokeyfeng)
– Drive back to Nagoya, check-in to hotel
– Visit the Toyota Commemorative Museum
– Visit Osu Shotengai Shopping Street & Osu Kannon Shunpuku Temple
Day 2:
– Drive to and visit SCMaglev and Railway Park (thx u/Live_Ad8778)
– Drive to and visit Suzuka Circuit
– Drive to and check-in at Onsen Hotel (Taisenkaku)
– Check out 48 waterfalls, ninja forest etc.
Day:3
– Drive back to Nagoya
– Kirin Beer Factory Tour
– Return Rental Car
– JR back to Tokyo
I am most questioning the plan to visit and spend time at Suzuka Circuit… while we're big racing & car fans, we are conscious that it'll be a non-race day and we'd only be visiting to see the circuit and the theme park. Are the attractions even wort the visit for 2 adults in their 30s? We had planned to spend a good 4-5 hours there, what would you do instead?
