Hi everyone! I’ll be in Japan in the spring of 2026 and would love to spend that time improving my Japanese. I’ve already studied at ISI Language School before and had a good experience there, but I’m wondering if there are other schools that offer similar programs at a more affordable price.
I found that most schools only offer 3-month (or longer) programs, while I’m hoping to find something around one month in length. Ideally, I’d like a daytime course that’s not too overwhelming with homework, but still structured enough to make progress.
Has anyone here taken a short-term course like this in Tokyo, or do you know schools that are flexible with shorter stays? Any recommendations or personal experiences would be really appreciated!

The reason you haven’t found programs shorter than 3 months is because they would be effectively pointless from a language-learning perspective.
As dalkyr82 said, it’s unlikely you’ll find an actual language school offering such short classes. Your best bet would be to find a private tutor and book sessions during your stay, though it won’t be exactly like school.
