Regarding the robbery-murder case in Imari, Saga Prefecture, where a mother and her child were attacked with a knife, investigative sources have revealed that the arrested suspect, a Vietnamese technical intern trainee, was likely wearing gloves on both hands when he pressed the intercom at the victim's house.
The suspect, Dam Duy Khang (24), was arrested on charges including robbery and murder. The incident, which occurred on July 26, resulted in the death of Maiko Mukumoto (40) and injuries to her mother, who is in her 70s. Cash was also stolen from the home. According to police, Khang has stated, "I don't want to say anything."
Investigators believe that Khang was wearing gloves when he rang the doorbell. A pair of blood-stained gloves was later discovered between the crime scene and the suspect's dormitory. Police are analyzing the gloves and are investigating the possibility that the suspect wore them to avoid leaving fingerprints and to obstruct the investigation.
