Thoughts on Nare (NYC)


This is was from Nare sushi on East 53rd. It is their 12 piece Omakase. I let the chef choose the roll and he gave me toro. This was $75 and +$2 for ponzu sauce which turned out to be soy. So kind of nickel and diming your customers. With that said. Great fish, toro, uni, amber jack, you even get Waygu topped with caviar. Each piece dressed well, some with yuzu kosho, some just a touch of wasabi. Fish was nice and only. Rice was warm but the pieces were a little small.
