Hello everyone!
I’m currently based in Fukui, Japan, and I’m actively looking for a hotel job in Osaka, Tokyo, or Nagoya (or other big cities with more opportunities for foreigners).
– I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management (BSHM)
– I passed the Accommodation Prometric Test (Shukuhaku)
– My Japanese is around N4 level (daily conversational)
So far, I’ve tried applying online through YOLO, GaijinPot, and Work Japan, but I was rejected. I also went to Hello Work for support, but many positions need N2 level Japanese. They told me they’ll do their best to help and call me back if they find something.
After almost a year of searching, I’m honestly losing hope. 😞 Recruitment agencies often say they need the Food Service Prometric Test, which doesn’t match my background.
What should I do now? Should I keep pushing for hotel work, or should I just go back to being a caregiver? Any advice, connections, or tips would mean a lot.
Thank you so much for reading. Yoroshiku onegai itashimasu! 🙏
