This is from Oishi Bay in Murray Hill and this is there Omakase which is 59 with miso soup. And the claim is you get 12 pieces including toro, king salmon, scallop, uni and. a toro roll And two pieces of crispy rice. Well they gave me 13 pieces and there was a toro roll. There was also two ikura pieces also the nigiri pieces were good sizes, the fish was just not great. When you order omakase you expected quality over quantity and this is clearly not the case here. You get a shit ton of food. I think two people could split this. Maybe we an added roll and extra miso soup. It was too much for me.
I’m torn here because for the money you’re getting good, quality food and a lot of it. But when I think omakase, it’s supposed to be your best offering and if this is their best, it’s kind of meh. I think the right person would probably like this but for the price, I’d much prefer 10 really good pieces and save the ice sculptures and shrimp heads for the midnight buffets on carnival cruises
