Hey y’all – I’ll be traveling to Tokyo for the first time solo for 2 weeks at the end of October, and have been researching where to set up home base. Currently thinking about Ebisu since it is on the Yamanote line and right outside Shibuya/Shinjuku where I plan to spend a good amount of time, while also giving me somewhere a bit less hectic to come back to at night after a long day trip. Also heard it has some chill bars/izakayas, but I'm sure that is true of most areas.
As far as hotel options, I'm not finding many, but was curious to see if anyone has any experience with the couple I was able to find?

- Ebisuhloic
- Others nearby I should look into?
Also open to suggestions on other neighborhoods where you’ve set up home base in the past and would recommend!
