Will be in Japan for 2 weeks (Sunday to Sunday), and have a crazy idea about forwarding luggage. First week, I’ll be in Tokyo + Disney, then we’re going to Izu, then Kyoto then Osaka. From Osaka, we’re riding the Shinkansen back to Tokyo for our last night before flying back from HND.
My plan is to fly with a carry-on, buy new bag in Tokyo, fill it up with dirty laundry and souvenirs from Disney and deliver to Yamato or a similar service in the first Friday to deliver to HND on our departure date. Then, bring only my original carry-on to the rest of the trip, then rinse and repeat with buying a new bag to fill out with laundry and souvenirs, and finally send the new bag from Osaka to HND on Friday morning for our departure on Sunday.
Does the plan make sense? Or should I reserve a train with large luggage space for my ride back?

With Yamato, you can specify delivery date (flight date) to airport only up to 10 days later.
kind of ok, but bring less clothes and instead of shipping laundry, wash your clothes and save space.
I only pack 5 days worth of clothes and book a place that has a washer/dryer, or has a laundromat nearby to wash a load or two. I only buy clothes if I underestimated the weather and need to upgrade something I have.
How bags were you planning to buy? And will your airline allow you check in that many?
If you end up buying more bags then you can check in, you might have an issue with disposing of the extra bags. Japan pretty strict with disposing of large objects and you shouldn’t just leave it somewhere for someone else to take care of.
