Hi everyone,
I'm visiting Japan for the third time in late November (solo). I'll be in the Funabashi Area for half of my stay because of an event that I'm attending, plus it's near Chiba where I also have plans. Here is my itienary for those interested:
- Day 1 – Check In to Funabashi, Rest a bit – I'll do more if I arrive early, not sure of my arrival dates at the moment as I'm on standby ticket. Maybe visit Ikea if I got time.
- Day 2 Visit Akihabara – I'm attending a Vtuber Festival, hence why I'm visiting Akihabara to get some extra merch for the festival, and stop by Ueno Park if I have time.
- Day 3 Attend the Festival – Will be the whole day, held in LaLa Arena Tokyo Bay.
- Day 4 Visit Chiba Onjuku – Planning to visit Matha Farm in Onjuku for Hara Urara, have lunch, then go back to Funabashi.
- Day 5 Move to Ueno, maybe Visit Asakusa – This is where we stayed back in April, it was pretty nice, very walkable and the location seems nice, commuting wasn't much of a hassle, and hotels are cheap.
- Day 6 & 7 – Still undecided. I was considering Suwa Lake, but it feels like that’s better as an overnight trip. Since it’ll be autumn, I really want to experience the fall colors (I’ve never seen them in person). Suggestions welcome!
- Day 8 – Fly home.
For more context, Last spring I visited Kawaguchiko and Kamakura. I’d like to save Kyoto for another time since I know it’ll be really crowded in November.
From my research, I'm considering places such as Mount Takao, Hakone, and Nikko. I also won't mind going to Kawaguchi again but if there are gems you guys have near Tokyo (preferrably day-trippable), let me know.
Thanks
