Hi everyone, I'm a long time lurker. First I like to thank you this whole subreddit for providing abundant information about how to live here.
A bit of context, I arrived in japan on May as a fresh grad and have been living in 社宅 until now, everything is provided, I just have to cook and clean that's it. Any other things I'm confused of I usually searched it here. This week I'm moving to kansai area (転勤) to a bigger 支店 and my company already provided me with an apartment (マンション) not far from the office. So, I've spent the last 5 days looking for 家電 and wifi provider since I have to set them up myself. Appliances are no problem but the wifi is a bit confusing.
So as the title said, I went and apply to nuro internet with their 10gbps plan, it showed my apartment name and said 2gbps and 10gbps are available for my apartment. When I went to their 申し込み流れ website, it is stated that I have to obtain a "consent" from my landlord before construction. What does this mean? do I just call the landlord and ask can I set up an internet connection to my room? Or is there some kind of written statement that I have to submit to the landlord? and it also said that there might be a chance that the construction could not "continue" due to landline connections not having a route to my room? And well, worst case if I can't get the "consent" from my landlord, are there any advice on any other internet services? There's a LAN Port on the wall and a big box with wires on the balcony when I checked the apartment pictures, I asked my company but they said that the owner mentioned it's not connected to anything. I don't really understand any of this. This is my first time actually living alone so it's a bit confusing. Also if there's any other advice on moving to a new place I'm open to any suggestions.
Thank you and sorry my English, I'm still learning both EN and JP.
