So my visa is up for renewal and it’s taken a little longer than expected for my company to align with the agency we use to complete it. I was told that the agent will be completing the application online now that they have all the necessary documents, but this reminded me that I won’t receive the stamp on the back of the residence indicating renewal. I was told that rather, I would receive an email from immigration denoting that the renewal was in motion.
I also received a message from my banks asking specifically for a scan of both sides of the updated card, or the very least proof that it’s being renewed. I imagine this email will not suffice. Of course it’s best to go in to a brick and mortar branch and explain, but has anyone else had any luck with proof via email, especially as it’s likely the renewal will not take place before the current expiry date. Also wonder what any policeman would have to say if I were to show them the email should I be apprehended…
