I just moved in to Japan December last year and been working in a company that does life support and recruitment for specified skill workers. Despite working with a lot of foreign workers it's a pretty old school Japanese company with a lot of rules and philosophies that just doesn't make any sense, makes me question sometime if they're actually a cult or something.
When I landed this job, I knew it won't be for a long run. I plan to live in Shizuoka to get married to my bf of 6 years. This company is pretty big and has branches in every perfectures and yet they won't place me in Shizuoka eventhough I told them my situation.
So in the end I have to look for another job in Shizuoka. At first I wanted to wait for 2 or 3 years to start looking, but I think 1 year is enough… This job is sucking the life out of me. The overtime, the constant have to answer work related phone or text, working during holiday, etc etc… No work life balance.
Tldr I need to find a job in Shizuoka but it seems that there's not many of them for foreigner. My English is pretty good (IELTS 7) and my Japanese too (N2). I've only been in Japan for 9 month ish and I wonder will it become a problem if I start looking now? Any advice on where to look?
Thanks a bunch!
