Can I do an English-taught M.A. in Japan and study Business Japanese at the same time?

I’m JLPT N3 right now and planning to apply for April/September 2026 intake.

My goal is to work in Japan (marketing/IT), so I want to:

  1. Enroll in an English-taught M.A. program (since my Japanese isn’t strong enough yet).

  2. At the same time, improve my Japanese to JLPT N2/N1 and specifically study Business Japanese for job hunting.

I’ve seen that some universities (like Meiji, Waseda, Rikkyo, etc.) allow M.A. students to also take Japanese language courses (CJEC, CJL).

My questions:

If I join an English-taught M.A. program, can I also take Business Japanese classes during my studies?

Are these courses intensive enough to reach N2/N1, or are they more like supplementary lessons?

Has anyone here done this path (M.A. in English + Business Japanese side by side)? How was your experience, especially with job hunting afterwards?
