TL;DR Hideo Kojima, the former mayor of Ginan town in Gifu Prefecture, who resigned after being accused of sexual harassment, won a seat on the town council. Despite the controversy surrounding his past actions, Kojima finished second in the election, sparking outrage among many, including his victims. The election result has been met with shock and disbelief, with many questioning the judgment of the voters.

Decency is no longer important to voters.

Yeah, keeping the LDP in power for pretty much of 70 years, re-electing again and again morally bankrupt individuals piling up cash and scandals and keeping them afloat until they croak. Voting on a regular basis for cults, bonkers or racist (or all 3 together) parties is standard (election) procedure as well.
So, voting for a horny idiot? Yeah, Pretty matches the profiles of the voters…
Non-elites in Japan still haven’t shaken off the peasant mindset from the days of serfdom. Blind faith in your superiors simply because they occupy that position is a national illness.
unbelievable what is japanese standard of a leader these days. Governement need to really look at the mirror
Was his slogan Make Amazing Gifu Again
The most Japanese thing a Japanese town can do.
Lmao they’re copying Trump’s voters
Is that his real name? Or is he trying to win Metal Gear Solid fans?
