EDIT: Sorry, the title is misleading and I did not realize that the linked bank accounts are different from the recipient account, apologies. I’m still not sure why there was an issue with a transfer I’ve done a million times, I’m going to check with both Wise and Shinsei. Thanks everyone!!
Hi! as the title suggests, I had my Shinsei Bank account linked to Wise, so any transfers I received would go directly into that account. Yesterday, I was expecting a transfer and followed the usual process. I even received an email confirming the funds were on their way, only to find out later that the transfer was paused.
When I checked my Wise account, I noticed that my linked bank account had disappeared. I tried re-adding my Shinsei Bank account, but was met with a message saying that only banks in the US, UK, and Canada can be linked now. Since when did that change?
I contacted customer service, but they simply repeated what the app says, without offering any explanation. Is anyone else experiencing this?
