Building new house: windows sizes and distance from neighbors for privacy

I am building a new house and considering window options.

These windows are on the second floor. My house is 50cm from the road, the road is 4m wide, and the houses across the road are also 50cm from the road.

That is, from my window to the neighbor's window there is a 5m distance in total.

I would love to hear from people living in similar houses if they regret installing large windows, if they rarely have a chance to open their curtains, and if it's worth sacrificing privacy for sunlight (especially given my house does not face south, so it naturally gets little direct sunlight).
