Hi all,
I’ll soon be moving from my current detached house to another one. Right now we’re using Nuro Hikari and honestly have no complaints. Unfortunately, Nuro isn’t available at the new location.
I have a bit of tech knowledge, but networking is not my strongest area. I keep seeing terms like IPoE, v6 Plus, Flets Cross, etc., and I’m getting confused about what they actually mean in practice.
Here’s what we need:
- Stable internet for my wife’s WFH (and sometimes mine too)
- Smooth 4K streaming for Netflix/YouTube/etc.
- Support for a few IoT devices
- Ability to use my own mesh Wi-Fi system (3 units to cover the new house)
One concern I’ve read in some threads is that some ISPs force you to use their routers, which might not play nicely with my own devices.
Could anyone recommend which ISPs/services I should look into for reliability and flexibility (especially for using my own router/mesh Wi-Fi)? Any experiences with Flets or other options compared to Nuro would be super helpful.
Thanks in advance!
