Another internet question.

I recently moved to Japan and do not speak or understand the language. I am renting a detached house. I'm assuming fiber optic lines are already installed based on seeing what looks like coax lines to hook into around the house.

I read the faq and was using translate to look at the kakaku website to find a cheap Internet service I can play video games on. But I am confused by which application type I should be sorting by. Asahi net says I have availability for FTTH with FLET'S Home Course (NTT East) and FLET'S Hikari Cross.

Should I be using new contract? Change optical collaboration? Or converting? I clicked around and it was suggesting I use So Net which was asking for information I was uncertain about. I also do not have a Japanese number, not sure if I have to have one.

If it helps with further suggestions, I am currently planning on leaving in less than two years, and will be away for several months at a time during my time. So benefits obtained at 2y won't work for me and I'm uncertain if I should attempt to cancel internet if I will be away for periods of time.
